The Retcon Punchers spend an awful lot of time looking for ways to celebrate our nerdy obsessions. This means a lot of time sunk into scouring Etsy, Deviant Art, Think Geek or whatever. Sometimes we see things so great we just have to share them… and then clutch them fiercely to our collective chest. Throw it in The Vault.

Remember the Green Lantern snuggy? Remember how crazy excited we were about the idea of a Retcon Punch slumber party? This is the obvious next step in adult-sized, comic-book-themed slumber party attire. I honestly don’t know why I have ever worn anything else to bed at night. It’s always such a hassle when I’m awaken by some emergency, and have to take the time to change into my superhero costume. This way, I’m ALWAYS PREPARED; these pajamas are the Boy Scouts of superhero sleepwear.

I don’t know what it is about that picture that I find so funny. Maybe it’s the slightly smug look they both have clashing with the dorkiness of what they’re wearing (they’re neither apprpriately excited nor jaded enough by the routine of it to make me really believe they’d actually wear it), or maybe it’s just the thought of those guys having a slumber party. Whatever the reason, I love this image.
Their smug satisfaction seems to just dare the viewer to make fun of them. I wish there was a Wonder Woman one.
it’s hard to make a Wonder Woman onsie when it’s just underwear.
Why are the capes so short?
So you don’t get tangled up and choke to death in your sleep?
Batman’s cape is yellow? Never have I thought that his cape needed to be yellow, but you know somewhere someone said these words: “Make it yellow, that’s way too much black for pjs.”
I was going to suggest that it might double as a batgirl costume, but explain to me how a girl is supposed to go to the bathroom in that thing.
